PUAN Holds Special Inauguration In Lagos
Polling Unit Ambassadors of Nigeria (PUAN), a non-governmental organisation, aimed at ensuring that every Nigerian exercises his or her civic duty by casting their votes without being oppressed, held its Lagos Inauguration on Saturday, 27th July, 2019 at Solab Hotels, Ikeja, Lagos.
Amb. Bola Olorunfunmi, the Lagos State Ambassador, in his welcome address, urged all the members of PUAN especially those in Lagos, t see themselves as servants. He added that each member of the body should know the mandate of the body and follow it through.
Speaking on the mandate, Amb. Capt. Dabas Suleiman, the Ambassador General, said the group is to engage and sensitive voters on the importance of their Permanent Voters’ card as they look towards building a voter sensitive generation.
Members of the Lagos state chapter of PUAN were later inducted as they read their oath.
Amb. Prince Osa Osaghae, the secretary General further addressed the newly inducted members and said the body will work hand-in-hand with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Civil Society of Nigeria and other agencies to ensure that the vision of the Body is achieved.
The group also took time out to celebrate Amb. Joseph Babatunde Sotomey (Dir. Contact and Mobilization) for his contributions and support towards ensuring that the group achieves its goals.
