Gov Sanwo-Olu to host Super Eagles Tuesday ahead of AFCON

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tuesday will host the Super Eagles at a special send-forth dinner in Lagos just before the team departs for the Africa Cup of Nations in Cote D’Ivoire.

Sports Development Minister, Senator John Owan Enoh will be the co-host of the glamour event, to which Governors Douye Diri (Bayelsa State), Seyi Makinde (Oyo State), Sheriff Oborevwori (Delta State), Abdullahi Sule (Nasarawa State) and Godwin Obaseki (Edo State) have been invited.

President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Ibrahim Gusau is also expected to be present alongside other members of the soccer house.

Former Super Eagles captain Dr. Olusegun Odegbami, leading artists, top celebrities and influencers are also expected to grace the event.

The Super Eagles will arrive in Lagos on Tuesday from Abu Dhabi where they are presently camping for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

The players and their officials will depart for Abidjan for the competition on Wednesday.
