The Portuguese Football Federation (PFF) has announced Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo has tested positive for coronavirus and will miss Portugal’s game against Sweden.

The Juventus striker will now undertake isolation for a period after contracting Covid-19 while away on inmternational duty.

Following the testing positive for coronavirus, the 35-year-old has been ruled out of Portugal’s clash with Sweden on Wednesday at Lisbon.

According to the Portuguese Football Federation validated the news in an official statement that Cristiano Ronaldo as released from training with the national team after a positive test for Covid-19 which will prevent him from playing against Sweden.
